With over a decade of experience, I blend thoughtful design and intentional color to create work that feels timeless, meaningful, and connects people to something real. 2025 Creative Exploration Project

Edible & Medicinal Plants & Fungi Coloring Book

This book is intended to be a basic introduction to the world of edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms, while simultaneously serving as an outlet for creative expression. Think — coloring book meets field guide.

Each page provides the common and scientific names of the illustrated species, along with some of its traditional culinary and medicinal uses.

I designed, illustrated, and wrote the book for our family's farm business. It is currently for sale online here and at carrittfarmsiowa.com. You can also find it for sale in-person at the Fontenelle Forest gift shop.

2024 Creative Exploration Project

One-of-a-Kind Nature-based Artwear & Accessories

For this project, I created a series of merchandise collections all themed around nature and in collaboration with other local makers. Most items in the collections were produced by utilizing print-on-demand, but some items were handmade. Each item was unique and only available for a limited time.

Collections included practical items like clothing, accessories, office and home decor, body care items, and more. All items were custom-designed or handmade by me and the other makers.

2023 Creative Exploration Project

Sustainable Goods that Support Wildlife Conservation

I designed cotton woven blankets, printed tote bags, notebooks made with recycled materials, and other items like stickers and keychains that were all wildlife-themed and sold primarily on Etsy or in-person at craft events at the Omaha Zoo.

A portion of all sales from this collection was donated to multiple wildlife conservation organizations.

What I learn through my yearly exploration projects often becomes part of how I approach commissioned gifts and custom art.
